TEDnext is about action. Many of us have heard/watched many TEDTalks, YouTube, BlipTV, etc. I know I have heard my fair share. Many of us have been inspired by them. Many of us have perhaps wondered, what can I do? Or what should I do? Or what do I do now? It is all good to talk about them, but wouldn’t it be nice to do something? Wouldn’t it be nice to get other people together to do something about whatever we’ve been inspired to do? Isn’t that what the TEDTalks or any of these inspiring videos is all about? I don’t know about you, but it is so easy to sit back, relax and enjoy the talks–getting ourselves pumped up about this or that. We need to be inspired! We need to be encouraged! We need to be challenged! We also need to take action! So, that’s what this website is all about, ACTION! It is pure and unadulterated Action. If you have been inspired, this forum allows you to share your experience either in print, video, or audio, or in whatever format you desire. There is not right way and wrong way to do this. We will try to provide as many ways as possible to make this easy for you to share.
There are so many ways to take action on this, I am just proposing one. You may like it or you may not. If you don’t like it, start something else. There are nearly 7 billion people on this planet and nearly 2 billion of them are online somewhere, I am sure you can find something that will appeal to a few. A few years ago, I heard it said something like this, “An idea is worth only a dollar, while taking action on that idea is worth the millions.” I don’t know who said it or where I heard it, but it has rang true in my life and so I am sure it does yours. Imagine how many lives we can touch with just one idea in action! I am not certain how this will take shape just yet, but I know it is time to take some action, even if it is just simple small steps of action.
Many of us may feel so inspired by those who share ideas and those who move us to laughter or tears. What are you going to do about it? The ball is in your court.
